A Tornado lands at Volandia. Unveiling on October 3 during the “Volo in Rosa” gala

Tornado PA200

Thanks to the close collaboration with the Italian Air Force, the vast collection of the Volandia Flight Park and Museum is enriched even further with an aircraft of great historical and symbolic value.

Yesterday, Sunday, September 7, a PA 200 Tornado passed through the gates of Volandia—an extraordinary addition for the museum, which will now be able to display an aircraft that entered service with the Italian Air Force in the early 1980s and, for over forty years, stood as one of the pillars of European air defense, a true symbol of technology and international cooperation.

In the coming days, Air Force specialists will begin reassembling and setting up the aircraft, which will soon take its rightful place in the exhibition path.

“Just one word: thank you, to the Italian Air Force,” said Marco Reguzzoni, President of Volandia. “This close collaboration allows us to be among the very few museums in the world to display such an aircraft.”

The official unveiling is scheduled for Friday, October 3, during the traditional “Volo in Rosa” gala event, now in its seventh edition, in the presence of civilian and military authorities. Starting the following day, the Tornado will be on display in the new visitor route of the Fixed-Wing Pavilion.
