Description
Volandia offers its visitors the chance to try and fly planes and helicopters with flight simulators located next to the children’s playgroung and the restaurant. The area has four simulators that are designed to reproduce an airplane’s cockpit, a jet cockpit – the MB339 – a helicopter – the AW319 – and soon there will be two simulators specifically designed for children under 12 years of age.

The use of our simulators is supported by volunteers who can, on demand, explain the basic notions of flight. Our visitors can also begin a step-by-step learning path that can bring them form the simplest simulators up to the professional Air Vergiate Flight School ALSIM simulator, that is as well located inside the museum.
 
Timetables
Simulators are available from Tuesday to Friday from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 14.00 to 17:40, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 17:40 (departure time of the last “flight”). Flight sessions can be booked online or at the volunteer desk in the hall of the museum, It’s possible to choose the type of simulation and the time of the flight among the available ones. Reservations for the afternoon flights needs to be confirmed before noon at the volunteer desk. Flight Simulators call for a minimum offer of € 2 that you can deposit directly at the museum. The money will go to the volunteers that every day put effort in making virtual flight enjoyable and satisfying, it will be used to maintain and upgrade the flight simulators area.
